After his handling of Israel..not good at all, god forbid if Ukraine is lost.
He didn't handle Israel any different than any other US president would have. It's just how we've handled Israel for the past 70 years

He helped restore some semblance of sanity in the face of COVID, got some pretty good legislation passed for infrastructure and at least something towards gun control, and made good attempts to relieve student loan debt. Also tried to get us to where people who are different from the norm don't have to feel like their lives aren't worth living. Got us back into the Paris Climate accord and made big pushes towards renewable energy.

Down side primarily being the Israel/Gaza stuff, but he has at least applied more pressure to Israel than probably any prior US president ever would have. He gets a lot of flack for inflation, but the reality is that our inflation has been among the least bad in the world.

I'd rank him easily in the top third of US presidents.

Outside a big dark spot around Israel, he's been a good president. Great even, in some respects.

Yeah. It's just kind of standard US policy at this point. He won't be looked at any differently in that regard.

Seriously. The President that kept the same EXACT policy that America has had for Israel for decades being singled out is utter nonsense. It's just the Anti-Biden people playing Hannity clones on gamefaqs.

That's not to say I think that policy is anything but utter shit though but as everyone saw during the Bibi address to Congress...it is not Biden centric.

That's not true. Reagan got Israel to stop bombing Beirut with one phone call in 1982.

Of course it isn't, but it does ensure Biden will not be singled out for it personally in history books, which was the original question.

The only way he does is if they start damning EVERY president for doing the same thing, I really doubt the history books will be pointing out at just Joe Biden for the Israel situation unless it's a pure scape goat thing.

This is basically like getting pissed at someone for obeying the law of the land when you think it's wrong, that is irrelevant.

Biden's policy may be in line with his predecessors, but Israel's actions during his term have been significantly different.

Biden sitting around with his thumb up his ass as Israel went full mask off is a fair charge.

Except both the scale of the death and destruction Israel is perpetrating and the degree of material support the US government is giving to these crimes are, in fact, exceptional. Even by the sick and perverted standard of normality that is applied to Israeli colonialism and US foreign policy, this is not normal.

That's an unfair charge, because his admin is actively assisting Israel and providing international cover for them. He isn't a passive bystander.

Like, plot the last 8 months onto this chart, which covers 2000-14:

The worst month of the 20 years before Biden saw ~1/4th of the deaths of the *average* month since 10/7

The inflation issues are also becoming less of an issue as time passes, I think partly it was companies trying to gouge and use the excuse of Covid. Biden was pointing out in his state of the union that companies are fooling people by selling bags of chips recently, and making it appear like the normal old size you bought before but then the actual ounces of food listed is lower.

So someone would buy that bag thinking it's their normal brand and size but they end up paying the same or slightly more for 10% less. So yeah food companies in particular are really trying some scummy shit hoping the government won't step in.

I really think the government should wield a lot of power over food prices since it's the one of the few things everyone needs, we all die if we stop eating food meanwhile many other supposed necessities are nowhere near as vital.
