I watch a lot of stand-up and videos where people joke about how they shop a lot on Amazon when they're feeling sad, and it got me wondering what exactly is on amazon that they're buying. I don't really buy anything outside of food and usual expenses so I'm wondering what people have discovered on amazon I could get in on.

I like to engage in emotional-support spending, but I never find anything I like on Amazon

Usually ebooks for me. Occasionally my preferred cat food/treats if my local store is out.

Well just recently (as in came in the mail yesterday) I bought a new phone case and screen protector for my samsung galaxy 9+. Amazon is the best choice for something like this since local stores stopped selling accessories for the S9+ like what, 5 years ago.

During a lightning sale I bought a internal expansion SSD for my PS5 a year ago. 4 TBs for 200ish bucks *the normal price is 300ish+ dollars for this size*

I bought a 6 pack of fruit of loom tank shirts for like 15 dollars.

But yeah, mainly old physical PS4/5 or switch games during price drops (Amazon sucks ass for new games/pre-ordering. If I'm pre-ordering a physical I still prefer gamestop for that) and stuff I use around the house like tape, gorilla glue, USB whatever cords, 3.5 audio cords when my current 1 about to kick the bucket.

I got that social security/SSI prime discount so stuff usually come quick.

Edit: looking at my Amazon order history I forgot I bought soy sauce from them, lmao. Its pretty good

Toys, Legos, vidya, etc.

at this point, almost everything except groceries and new video games. I buy all my new games from Best Buy and do store pick-up.

Back volumes of Graphic Novels recently that afterwards I'll put on my hold list at the comic shop.

Recently got the first three volumes of Paws and Animal Rescue Friends.

Plus the Yuri manga She Loves to Cook, And She Loves to Eat.

Especially just cause of the heatwave.

A water conditioner, now that's interesting. What is it used for. This is different from a water filter?

I mainly buy audiobooks from them anymore, but I'll also buy miscellaneous electronics and clothing from them throughout the year.

Amazon is too practical for that. You're looking for things like Wish and Temu.

I mostly just use Amazon for books or things I can't get elsewhere.

I've never really been one to order everyday things online if I can just walk to a store and get it myself.

For my fishes and turtles. It takes the chemicals out water . The filter takes out the solids like pooh.

havent used amazon in like 6 months now tho.

I haven't purchased anything on Amazon in 3 months. I haven't needed anything so that's why.

Seriously? You can buy pretty much anything on Amazon, and I thought that was widely known

oh i know, i try to keep my food shopping local if possible.

Anything that has a look I cant particularly find by going out and want in my house faster

For me nothing really. I prefer to support small local businesses. If I looked everywhere and can't find it and I will reluctantly give bozos more money.

Nothing, because I refuse to financially support them.

Even though I love going to an actual bookstore occasionally because I love being in them and just browsing I live in the middle of cornfields in the Midwest so its like a 60 mile trip for me to a store like Barnes and Nobles that has a large selection.

Its cheaper and way more convenient to get my books off Amazon and have them on my doorstep 2 days later.

Physical movies have really dried up recently with multiple stores no longer carrying them so I use it to buy some blu-rays/4K movies.

Ill still buy physical games as Im a console gamer. I actually have shifted over to digital gaming a decent amount. Its the one area Im ok with buying digitally. Ill never buy digital books, music, or movies but games yes. Anyway there are times where a game is still like $60 on PSN and I can get the physical disk for anywhere from $20 to $30.

Financially Im in a really good position but I see no reason to willingly throw away $30 to $40 on a game just to buy it digitally. Digital should be cheaper, not the other way around.

I still buy a lot of CDs for music too. So I have other occasional stuff like kitchen gadgets/cookware but its mostly books, movies, music, and games.

Back when I had my digs I used to get my dog food there too. I got high quality food that wasnt even available in my area and saved me long drives to try to find some. Im a casual Amazon user but I do use it. Ive only made like two purchases in the last 2 years though.

Personally, I buy stuff like Transformers toys, Transformers movies, Transformers shows, Transformers video games, Transformers comic books, compression tape, distilled water, hemorrhoidal gel, groceries, etc.

Books, DVDs, video games mostly.

Everything they actually sell themselves is usually cheaply made garbage.
