So you start in Augusta, Maine (why I have no idea) and you need to get to San Diego, California also for reasons I have no idea, but you are not allowed to use a cellphone. You are not allowed to tell anyone why youre trying to get to your destination or even where your destination is.

You also cannot spend any money or charge anything to a card, your own or somebody elses. You are not allowed to operate any sort of vehicle on your own and you may not ask anyone to drive you, fly you, tandem bicycle you, give you a piggyback ride, boat ride or provide you a ticket for a plane, train, bus or any other type of transit.

Essentially you can only walk, run, hitchhike or rely on strangers for help without telling them why you are trying to get where you are going.

How long do you think it takes you?

Easy.

I get a job at Amtrak. The Augusta station is slow so i pick up a shift to Brunswick.

I then pick up another shift for Brunswick to Boston and then once more from Boston to San Diego.

Im there within a week, and Im making $22 an hour during all my travel time.

A friend of mine got to San Diego from upstate NY by hitchhiking. Took him a few months but he also wasn't specifically trying to get there, he was just meandering around the country going to concerts.

I think it's possible but definitely only in the warmer months. I don't think you're doing this if you're starting out anytime before April.
