you need to look at things yourself and come to your own conclusions. just because someone believes in X which is bad, it doesn't mean that Y which they don't believe in is good

The reason that it isn't openly opposed so much by politicians is because the name, which would be a political nightmare to oppose, and because there's so much shit shoehorned in to the bill they actually want it to go through.

Even bad people can have good takes once in a while.

The Conservatives are practically guaranteed to win the next election and are promising the same kind of legislation when they get in, unfortunately. It's going to happen everywhere.

I don't even know how'd they carry this out even if they tried. Like Utah did this with porn a couple years ago and two big porn sites no longer offer service here but over a thousand others still do...

I think if porn was suddenly illegal or restricted. Sex crimes would increase. Doesn't this seem like common sense?

Not a guarantee of course but there have been correlation with availability of porn and decreased sex crime in a large majority of countries.

So how long til the next version of KOSA gets attempted? I feel like they will just keep trying til it passes
