El_Marsh 08/02/24 4:13:09 PM #4:	I think they may actually be a worse team than the 2003 Detroit Tigers, who went 43-119, the 2nd worst record in history (well, since the schedule went from 154 to 162 games in 1962, the same year that the expansion New York Mets lost a record 120 games). I see its appeal as a team that is JUST on the edge of greatness and any of those superstars could be all they need for that final push over the edge, and they could take a lot of the credit for bringing this historically terrible team to the World Series or something to that effect. The Mariners have troubles coaching up hitters, and they routinely shift the blame on hitting coaches by firing them every year. We've had plenty of hitters leave, only to have better careers elsewhere other than Seattle.
