some of the chuds realize that he is a good pick, while most are saying some variation of 'this plays right into our hands and libs are the real anti semites'

while anti semitism is something that exists on the left in way too high levels (not actually high levels but higher than 0 is way too high), the party of marje green and nazis for desantis making that claim is insane. most of the almost 3k comments are pure cope with a few openly panicking.

Walz is an odd case in that progressives, mainstream liberals, and moderates all like him. There's just no attack angle.

that is especially insane when that was a misdemeanor in '95 and trump just got convicted of multiple felonies and is facing like 100 more in '24.

also walz quit drinking after his dui 30 years ago so if anything it is a positive for him in that context as he overcame an issue and has been a model american citizen since then with actual respectable accomplishments he achieved himself

and banning any dissenting opinions on sight. i was perma banned from posting on r/conservative for posting sources about trump wanting to ban guns early in his tenure. they whine about 'echo chambers' and especially r/politics despite no one getting banned from politics for having right wing opinions

He has the video of signing the kids food bill into law, which is instantly huge.
The guy has that loving grandpa feel about him.
He also has a video where he's showing to be a sweet dad to his daughter at a theme park.

And the progressives are loving it because I know many say that policies speak for themselves. Walz has acted and is one of the few democrats to do something so visibly caring for his constituents that he's actually trustworthy to enact laws and push laws with Harris that people will actually favor.

From what Ive seen, the biggest thing conservatives are trying to spew is that Walz didnt send in the national guard and just let his city burn to the ground back during the riots.

Oh, and theyre also saying hes not a real veteran because well idk tbh. Thats a weird point to try and make when youre trying to convince people to vote for the draft dodger who mocks veterans instead.

Also when the MAGAs were trying to say it made Dump look cool to get convicted. Now they're like "Walz had a DUI charge once 29 years ago it's Wover."

Walz alone would absolutely destroy Trump if he was running for President. He'd probably get 300+ Elecotral College votes.

Problem with that is they have trump on recording calling and praising Walz for how he handled the situation in 2020.

And its publicly documented that he submitted his intent to run for congress and his resignation from the national guard months prior to them finding out they were being deployed. The national guard should never fucking be deployed overseas anyways.
