Touch posted... KH1 was peak simple story and nostalgiaOne thing I loved about KH1 is that it actually felt Disney, like it had some of the typical trappings of a Disney movie, like someone psychologically manipulating someone who doesn't know better, like Malificent with Riku. And it added a bit more depth once you got to The End of The World and learning that Kingdom Hearts is an actual thing. And the beginning having a classic trope I love of future villains meeting up in a dark, shadowy place to scheme together, except this time it's obviously Disney villains, and with this being the first game, it's fresh and new and I'm thinking, "Oh, who's that villain? Who's that one? I recognize that voice!" Then the Square-Enix merger happened and there was an OBVIOUS changing of talent and employees, because the people responsible for writing KH2's story (and pretty much all Square-Enix games in general) had no idea how to do story. KH2's gameplay was much, much better, but the story took a dive and never really recovered. --- WHO MODS THE MODERATORS? ... Copied to Clipboard!

That was one of the best ideas the first game had. Then they had to ruin it with original characters who werent nearly as interesting, or well designed. --- ORAS secret base: http://imgur.com/V9nAVrd 3DS friend code: 0173-1465-1236 ...
