For those who dont remember, they were a somewhat popular youtube channel that did commentary over other peoples LP. Usually it was stuff like really bad footage taken through camcorders, or obviously pirated games, and other oddities. Other times though, it was people who clearly had some kind of mental disorder or speech impediment.

I usually liked most of their stuff, because their own LPs were usually good, and they wanted people to put actual effort into their content, but sometimes it did come off as iffy.

Anyway, if you want a very good LP, watch their Mystery of the Druids series.

They did a great one of a chick doing an awful let's play of an awful batman game, and that's enough for me to say they deserve to exist.

No. They were good because the let's plays they covered were shitty. As time went on Youtubers, and eventually streamers, started learning how to record games or get better commentary, get a better setup and they would have had less to riff on. Even in Retsupurae's final years it was clear they ran out of content.

I'm a fan of Retsupurae, still am, I'm subbed to slowbeef's channel but I admit I don't watch his videos much. But they're so much a product of the 00s who weren't able to modernize.
