I'd maybe do every 8 hours but the vet said she was getting little chunky last year so I put her on a diet. I also give her some treats every night. for multiple days I'd definitely get someone to come check on her if my roommate couldn't stay here during that time. We sift our 3 litter boxes twice a day (once in the morning and once at night), and change their food/water bowls every morning. They get Temptations when we do the litter boxes. They're allowed to run in the morning and night on days I have to work, and allowed to run all day on days I'm off (and the two males love to lay with me when I'm lounging on my bed), otherwise they're in their room that has several cat towers for them to lounge on or look out the window. --- Insert some witty line here ...
