While many online criticized him for the comments, Vances mere presence on the podcast drew even more backlash. Murphy, whose real name is John Goldman, has expressed a number of deplorable views on his personal blog.

Under his pseudonym, Murphy once stated in a now-deleted blog post which has been quoted in multiple outlets that behind even the most ardent feminist facade is a deep desire to be dominated and even degraded, and that rape is the best therapy for the problem. Feminists need rape.

I don't care about his base. They'll believe anything he says regardless. Like the couch thing, it just needs to be spread around. Some people will research the context, and still come to the conclusion that he's a rape supporter.
