I have. I actually saw that movie before Murder on the Orient Express, which introduces Poirot.

I liked both movies, each that their own thing.

Both of which are the modern remakes.

Also, no, I haven't seen A Hunting in Venice, however thanks for reminding me that I need to.

I love the Branagh movies so much, I hope he gets carte blanche to make as many of them as he wants.

Joaquin Phoenix as a young Poirot

I love the Branagh ones. I understand why people don't, because they're more about style and pageantry than pure acting, but I feel that's what sets them apart from every other rendition. They all look fantastic. I was skeptical about Haunting in Venice because it looked far more grimy than the other two, which were visual spectacles, but I came away loving it too.

I hope Disney does more, even though Haunting didn't do all that well.

Guess Kenneth announced he'll do at least 1 more. So that's great, hopefully it does well.

Anyway if you like that style, check out See How They Run with Sam Rockwell and Saoirse Ronan. It's a great 'whodunnit' about a play of Agatha's gone wrong. It came out in 2022 or 2023, I forget. But it's mad cute, twisty, and Ronan is awesome and Rockwell nails it. Has a moderately known cast too if you watch film or TV enough.
