She shouldn't see any prison time, 6 months of probation and counseling.

The law should have done their job by getting the sick bastard off the street to protect society but no, they did nothing to protect the women he abused.

Her sitting in prison for 11 years accomplishes nothing, she needs serious counseling for what she went through not sitting in prison where she won't get help.

She rightfully believed he would hurt her again and hurt other women.

I said the same thing but it was completely ignored. They just want her to rot in prison.

She shouldn't have done it, but ultimately the justice system failed to protect her in the first place.
I can't say that I blame her for killing him.

I will say that prison certainly won't help the trauma of the past though, unfortunately.

I've seen the same with the death penalty. It's all so horrible till it's a particularly fucked up crime compared to normal cases.

While that is true the ones against it in that case are always oddly silent in those topics

Meanwhile Gary Plachue gets a 7 year suspended sentence and 5 years probation for the same thing. Minus the house burning I suppose, but I still dont think that in and of itself deserves 11 years for this specific case.

Arson is a crime we take very seriously. Just in my state, Virginia, it's 5 years minimum. I get wanting to do it as a final "fuck you", but a house fire can spread to other houses and hurt completely innocent people.

I can see an America where chuds can stalk and take a colored woman, rape her, and completely get away with it. Hell, I can see this being encouraged by the courts and the lawmakers 10+ years after a Project 2025 America.

I know a kid who got 11 years for first degree murder himself and he was the same age. Another I knew for 15 and he was 15 when he did it. Both cases they killed their father. And let's just say im of the the belief people just don't kill their father for no reason.

Hell the one that was 15 I heard he was sitting in the driveway still holding the shotgun (non threateningly) with his younger sister beside him when the cops came. Basically he knew what was gonna happen and had no desire to run or hide. I've read his file too and while it never outrighr said it there was enough red flags to lead me to believe he was a child abuse victim
He seemed a good kid. Well he was an adult in adult prison when I met him. But he kept to himself mild mannered respectful when he did have to talk to me never broke rules etc.

.see sentencing isnt static. There is usually a minimum and maximum and the judge decides what they get.

Had a inmate in for 80 years for 4 counts of attempted murder. Another in for 10 years for 2 counts of attempted murder.
