He has argued that he was dead. He has argued that he was a taken man when initially arrested. He has even argued that the capitalization of the letters in his legal name in warrants or other legal documents invalidate the charges against him.


Since his arrest in Ohio in April, accused Jan. 6rioter Andrew Miller has insisted on representing himself. In the process, he has claimed that the charges against him cannot be supported for a host of reasons, at one point arguing that because juries are made up of registered voters and, and he is one, he cannot be prosecuted.


But on Thursday, Miller very much alive appeared in U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkans courtroom and seemed to acknowledge the reality of his situation.
I come in peace, he said, greeting U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan as he made an appearance for a status conference in her courtroom in Washington, D.C., according to CBS Newsreporter Scott MacFarlane. They were the first words Miller had uttered to the judge after having spent months rejecting legal assistance in his case and responding to her denial of his motions to dismiss the indictment for cause and dishonor.


Waiting a beat Thursday after Millers greeting, Chutkan reportedly replied: Im glad to hear that.



When they met Thursday, Miller was still defiant, CBS reported. But he eventually admitted: I dont comprehend how the legal system works.

Thats why Im advising you to get a lawyer, Chutkan told him. You wouldnt do your own surgery.

Miller, she advised, needed an expert.
The defendant reportedly replied: Youre like a foreign venue I dont understand the legalese.

Thats why you want a lawyer, Chutkan said.

I really dont know how people in law enforcement or in the judicial system have patience for these kinds of people.

Everyone dies. But not everyone truly lives

down an embarassing revelation like that.

Weird they never said that to themselves when they're getting fed the SovCit stuff and it's saying things about the Magna Carta and "US Courts that fly the flag this way are subject to Maritime Law and therefore can't do (this) and (this)" or when they start in talking about "My private personage does not consent and I'm not under your federal jurisdiction so you can't detain me!" or the thing about instead of having a license plate, it's paper on the back that says "PRIVATE - Not for Commerce Use. Private Mode of Travel" which I guess means they don't need a license or they can't be pulled over or some shit.
