i mean like, in a car singing along to a song. or chilling at home and singing while im around

no idea why it happens, and id never do anything about it since its just ppl glad to be existing in that moment. but it p much instantly becomes all i can focus on or think about, and it becomes maddeningly distracting

anyone else got anything similar?

Only at work when they are just nearby singing loud when I'm trying to focus on something. And I already don't like the person.

Almost any other time no, well maybe karaoke at a bar when I couldn't get out in time.

Not irritated but it does put me on edge because my mom used to only sing when she was mad and suppressing a screaming fit or beating. I don't have quite the visceral reaction I used to but I do still have to remind myself that people can sing for good reasons.

Congrats on the marriage! Havent seen you since the day before. Im happy you were able to decompress from your job enough to know what you wanted and grab some happiness.

As for the singing I really havent had the situation arise enough to really impact me.

also on topic - i do sing alone. i get no urge to do so in the presence of others, even tho im a good singer

paradoxically i love karaoke with company

I find it weird when people sing to me . I always feel so awkward

Normally I don't mind too much if it's only a little here or there but

I have a friend. That sings all the fucking time. Not even really a good singer but has the confidence I guess. But sings when a song is on. Sings when nothing is on. Love the dude but holy shit it grinds my gears.

Most people sing worse than they realize and it just becomes increasingly embarrassing

seriously though it sounds like you're obsessive about this and that says more about you than the randos singing

I don't like it either but I go about my business, they're allowed to be weird, if it's legitimately hampering your function you gotta change something about you

Its the worst when you are at a party and theres a guitar guy mellowing out the vibe.. and then he starts singing too. Ugh.

that doesnt bother me. it only really gets me when its like one on one hangouts

Ok that is adorable, treasure that stuff! Who knows she may have a real talent for it, but even if not it is still freakin adorable imo!

Oh, she actually does have a talent for it and we're fostering the heck out of it. During spring break and the summer we put her in a musical theatre program and she's starting another musical theatre program in the Fall. Also looking into singing lessons as well, though musical theatre will be giving her some of that as well.

She very much has a love of singing and acting.

I sing and if somebody else sings I dont get bothered at all

i I dont sing as much as I used to but I do from time to time. How I see it I dont ever make a difference in this world so why sing as much anymore
