Considering we have the entire main cast still alive as well as 2/3 of the bad guys that could make for a fun sequel. They can't ever take away your memories, or hopefully the 4K UHD blu-ray re-releases, old game ports to modern platforms etc. Best case scenario the new thing turns out pretty good and you can now like both. That's resident evil 2 for me...liking both. It's great to have some old classics that you like and if someone makes a new film to continue the story, it's a good chance to have another trip into that world, and either it's good and it draws new people in or it sucks and you forget about it. Older actors in a ghost movie doesnt affect anything.
