It is simultaneously one of the best, most impressive series on the Genesis and for the 16-bit era, but also one that is the most frustrating, claustrophobic inducing game series. Eh. It's excellent for the first few levels, then it starts getting old. They anticipated this shockingly well and started mixing things up, but every time, it just made the game more irritating instead of more fun. It gets way more mazey than a game with a breath meter has any right to be, and then it had those damn autoscrolling levels near the end, and THE NERVE to have the final boss actually send you back two whole levels so you can do the autoscrolling shit again was just a giant middle finger to everyone. --- Arguing on CE be all like: https://youtu.be/JpRKrs67lOs?si=kPGA2RCKVHTdbVrJ ... I only ever played Tides of Time on Genesis when I was a little kid but I was too dumb to figure out how to progress after a certain point. I should revisit it someday now that Im older. Last thing I remember was a level where I had to gather baby orca whales or something. The Sega Mini 2 has the Sega CD version of the game. Anyone know if its much different from the Genesis version? --- You know what I blame this on the breakdown of? Society. ... Copied to Clipboard!
