Cyberpunk 2077 has a double jump and an air dash and zipping around the city like that is so freaking addicting I forget its faster to drive longer distances. Another one I just thought of is using air dashes with the heavy armor in Prototype 1 and 2 right off the ground. It lets you build up insane speed, I'm pretty sure it's the fastest way to get around even though it's so unwieldy. I also liked using the Deku's spin in MM to cross water surfaces faster. And learning to windbomb/bomb impact launch in BoTW made my replay way more fun. Also the master cycle controlled shockingly well once I got used to it, I missed it a lot in ToTK. --- Look, I can name a few instances in MY life where I tried to reach mutual understanding and i can TELL you, always faster and easier to just kill em. While the game itself was no good, Windforge had one of the most humorous "glitchy movement" options in the game with its grappling hook. Oh yeah, I loved pogoing in MMZ3 and Hollow Knight. I still think that rolling around in Mario Odyssey controlled and played better than Sonic has ever had. I've always loved MMZ and MMZX for letting you dash nonstop and how seamless dashjumps are. I'm pretty sure that you can go through a lot of levels without ever having to let go of right while still attacking and platforming, it's simple but satisfying to pull off. --- Look, I can name a few instances in MY life where I tried to reach mutual understanding and i can TELL you, always faster and easier to just kill em. In Far: Changing Tides you play as a person piloting a ship. So your controls are similar to a platformer, running/jumping/swimming, but the objective is to manipulate the ship's controls to move forward. So you'll feed fuel into the engine, deploy the sail as needed, submerge to get past obstacles, etc. and the whole time you have the ability to just leave your ship whenever you want. It's a side-scroller, I'd compare it to something like Limbo because it's all about the traversal --- Sack to crack, going to town ... Copied to Clipboard!

Carrion is another cool one, where you play as an amorphous blob of flesh that can eat humans to grow bigger or leave bits behind to grow smaller. It was very hard at times but funI haven't thought about that in ages. Just bought it, it's 70% off on steam right now. A lot of movement in Dead Cells feels really good, but it's also got a weird awkwardness to it I can't describe. When I'm in the zone though I'm fucking zooming. I haven't played it myself but from what I've seen from Freedom Planet it's got a lot of fun movement tricks. I just remembered Oddworld, Stranger's Wrath exists. always loved the movement in Journey and also Abzu. Journey just feels really cool to glide and float around, plus there are a few tricks/glitches you can exploit like speed boosting to either propel yourself ridiculously high into the air, or glide super fast across the ground. Abzu also had a fun feature that not a lot of people used where if you leaped out of the water you could do wall plants and launch yourself off surfaces, and when combined with flips and barrel rolls you could do some fun stunts... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG2NXgn4qsQ --- ~we are a part of the process, not instigators of its progress~ ...
