I own shoes with laces, but I generally wear loafers or sandals. I spent all that time learning as a kid and now I don't even use the skill.

Bout to say, switched back to velcro huh? Velcro shoes are still nice.

My shoes have laces, but I just leave them laced up and smoosh my feet into them

I wore slip on vans for like fifteen years and recently switched to converse and was like damn it takes forever to put shoes on now

I do the same and when I realized I wasn't tying them anyway I figured I might as well get the kind where I don't have to bother. The heels don't wear out as fast either from the slipping on and off.

I have Vans, just recently got the step-in ones which are nice because you don't even need to touch them with your hands anymore.

I remember being told as a kid that at some point I would have to switch to laced shoes, I did switch eventually but I know I didnt need to.

I refuse to buy laced shoes. I only own 4 pairs of footwear; indoor flops, outdoor flops, work slip-ons and snow boots that are laceless.

When I was a kid, if you were the kid wearing velcro shoes you'd get picked on mercilessly. And I used to mock the shit out of my dad for wearing loafers.

Now half the time I just wear sandals because I can't be bothered to put on actual shoes. I still wear laced shoes when I have to (like in winter, or when I need to be classier), but if I can get away with it, I'm all about the lazy.

It is funny how you just stop giving a shit about a lot of things like that as you get older.

I can only assume if I manage to live another few decades, I'm going to start leaving the house without pants.
