While I 100% understand how one arrives at this conclusion, the concern is that the average civilians are going to be the ones who primarily suffer.

I'd have zero objection to bombing every IDF base and arresting every IDF member and Likud politician, for sure. But I'm not very keen on the idea of bombing the civilians, which is what always ends up happening in practice. For that reason I'd much rather see blockades and total embargoes than military action, at least give them a try first.

Most of the Israeli attacks on Lebanon honestly before this. Hezbollah didn't need to get involved in the current Gaza War, but I guess they couldn't help themselves. Been tit for tat ever since last year.

Not sure what was the point of blowing up people's pagers are though. As imprecise as bombs/rockets can be, this kind of operation is even less precise with who gets targeted. Just seems poorly thought out, with such a method of attack more in line with how an assassination would be carried out...but it's being used in a more mass casualty style. Makes me think the whole point is to start a bigger conflict in Lebanon which could swing the U.S. election in a way that could help Netanyahu stay in power, which other posters have brought up.

They've been lobbing bombs at each other for months now. Something like 60k Israelis have been evacuated from the North for months now.

Yeah, I think it was poorly thought out, as well. Maybe to take out a single terrorist but it doesn't look good from a PR perspective to attack thousands of people and maybe hurt 90% bad guys and 10% innocent bystanders. If Hezbollah wouldn't stop attacking maybe it would be smarter to just attack and annex small parts of Lebanon similar to what they did in Syria with the Golan Heights. If Lebanon convinces it's terrorist political wing to calm the fuck down, then Israel leaves and gives them their land back.

ITP Israel has apparently never retaliated with overwhelming force even though they always do. Funny you bring up the Munich Massacre, though, because their retaliation for that was very surgical non-casualty strikes where they actually got their their targets with little to no collateral damage.

Now they're on a mission to out-terrorist the terrorists in body counts, and with their recent actions alone in Gaza I'd say they've succeeded.

That is true, but that's not the other poster imply.
He thinks that if Trump pretends to be anti-Israel, he could get more votes.
The same Trump that said if he gets elected, he promised to help Israel to "clean up" faster. The same Trump that colludes with Netanyahu to bring down the Democrats.

Most of the people who supports Israel atrocities are also supporting Trump.
Think about it.

It is wrong to do that to anyone.
