I dont get what a Sloppy Joe offers that hamburger doesnt. A burger most likely wont spill out of the bun.

The reason I don't like sloppy joes is the bread. Imagine eating a taco on bread. It's wrong.

So I tried sloppy joe meat on a tortilla once, because that's effectively what it is, just a poor American taco, and it wasn't so bad. Dress that shit up with the right toppings and it might even be good. I'm not really committed enough to experiment with it though. I would never choose a sloppy joe over a taco.

I know of a kid that refused to eat a sloppy joe because of the word 'sloppy' in the name. Her mom started calling them Neat Joes. It worked.

I just have the bun upside down. Then you have the bigger part on the bottom and it won't soak through as easily

I was going to say beans, but after looking it up, I have learned that beans are not a required part of sloppy joes, even though they've been in every one I've ever had. Not sure if that's a regional thing, or what.
