In FFXIV, yes. And you get a ring that allows you to teleport to your partner for free.

I did that before I have some screenshots of one I went to. I remember I was on voice chat with a irl friend and I believe we were just attending one and he seemed to think I was going to just laugh at it Stuff seemed nice. I don't think I'd get married in a game like that with so much pomp and circumstance unless there are benefits to it. It was pretty neat. I don't remember it very well because I was having many wobbly pops.

And looking up well Wedge mentioned the benefit. That's certainly useful.

If I recall correctly, the only actual gameplay benefits it has is allowing one to instantly teleport to the other.

I did some valentine's event with that same friend so we had that half seated heart fancy chair.

Do we got someone who knows how long and I figure this is zone to zone right? If its a few hours, I'd think it'd be worth it if you can teleport zones wide to get with your officially ordained lover.

Two is probably good enough. I was sitting in the pews with my irl friend. I am the monk looking guy sitting down my friend Velsina was standing up. I think it was some ppl he knew because it drew a crowd. Also I am Cray Beasley, who typed....testify!

Also 2018 was a sea change ago for this game.

It's a 30 minute cool down.
Edit: i play FFXIV every day and I'm married in the game.

I want to get married just for the mount but honestly I think it's a lot of work for me to make another account with a character and then marry myself

It doesn't actually have to be someone you love or like, or have any emotional attachment to, it could just be a friend you play the game with a lot.

^ To Irony. Might as well just try to marry your own hand at that point.

Kisai, I never knew how demanding the marriage was in the game or how many times you could do it lol could you just marry your bff then? And then decide to marry someone else later. Is there divorce in the game....

Ya pretty much are if you trying to make an alt to marry your main. Is that really the way you want to go? I bet there is someone in a free company who will take your hand.

A 30 minute cooldown ring too over which I figure is just over one zone doesn't seem that good. I never got far enough into FFXIV :( where I got into the super really aerial places. I stopped near the end of Heavensward. I know they made the monk and machinist jobs now way easier and you can have AI companions.

A weird part of me liked reloading as a Machinist and changing ammo and following my chain as a Monk actually fuck the monk chain. That did get confusing especially when I had to see where my placement was and dodging aoes and then resetting everything but I did have it all set up on my panel and a cheat sheet I would put near my PC to remind me of chain alternatives and additions.
