The one that Ryan Reynolds endorses ? Apparently they were bought out by T-Mobile so I'm assuming they are using their towers now but yea, Mint is apparently like 30 bucks a month (15 for the first 3 months) so thats why I want to try it. I used to be on Cricket, the cheapy service which uses ATT Towers after their buy out, and it was pretty good actually. 35 a month. But they recently screwed me over. They took out my auto pay for absolutely no reason (I even talked to customer service and they can see they cut it out but they could not provide a reason WHY), and because I missed a bill and some time passed, they actually cut out my service AND my contract and this caused them to lose my number forever. A number I had since my early 20s. So I ain't goin back to those assholes --- https://i.imgur.com/qBpLe47.png http://i.imgur.com/25MHSn1.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

i've used it before, didn't really notice a difference from tmobile (which i normally use). but i also used it only for 3 months in that discount period. no complaints, it's solid enough, one of the better MVNO in terms of price/performance. and if you're looking for a term that describes these not-Tmobile/ATT/Verizon companies, that's what it is, MVNO. --- "Maybe it's a tentacle, molesting the planet itself. - Aschen Brodel. ... I am seeing on Google that MVNO means Mobile virtual network operator and I am reading the definition but I still have no idea what any of this means --- https://i.imgur.com/qBpLe47.png http://i.imgur.com/25MHSn1.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

Your older provider didn't aggressively contact you after missing the payment? Like of all the companies in the world, a person's phone provider should know how to contact their customer. --- My bracket looked like random picks compared to his. they did not but the thing is I think they tried AFTER it was cut so it was kinda counterproductive they kept SAYING "you should have been contacted" But I was past that, that is surface level. I wanted to know why they cut my autopay. If they hadn't done that, None of this would be happening. they couldn't give me an answer, they could only identify that they did I think I have been with them for more than 15 years too. as you can see, if they can screw me at a moment's notice and not even they themselves know why, I ain't goin back --- https://i.imgur.com/qBpLe47.png http://i.imgur.com/25MHSn1.gif ... mvno basically means any cell service provider that doesn't own the actual radio towers. for the US that's literally anyone who isn't t-mobile, att, or verizon. what those 3 companies do, in order to keep their monopoly legally, is allow other companies to use their towers but have data/calls go at lower priority. mint mobile is one of those companies and they use t-mobile. ...at least, i think they technically still are. they're in a weird situation because t-mobile owns them 100% now, they got bought out, but are working independently. that might make them the best of both worlds - cheaper than regular t-mobile but also with better priority than others. honestly, i wouldn't underestimate t-mobile's offerings either, personally i'm on their $25/month prepaid plan and get unlimited calling, texting, and 8GB of data. they just raised the data on these plans so depending on my needs i might go down a tier since 5GB may be enough anyway. other common mvno are Google Fi and Tello. it used to be that the former is better for international, the latter for data, but these days dunno how it goes. --- "Maybe it's a tentacle, molesting the planet itself. - Aschen Brodel. ... I've been using Mint for a few years with no issues. When I first switched over I was having an issue where my text messages wouldn't show up until a day later but that went away after I upgraded my phone so I don't think it was related. I think I pay $20 a month for 15GB of data or something but if you run out they just slow you down I believe. I've never run out because I work from home. --- skull ... Copied to Clipboard!
