This sentence deserves some sort of medal.

But yeah this is essentially the birth-rate doomer philosophy, put into more precise words. They want as many babies born as possible however possible, to win the "competition" with others. In this case the competition is with other states, but more liberal birth-rate doomers do the same with the US as a whole, or "The West" as a whole (vs South America, Africa, non-East Asia).

What's dumb is they don't realize reproductive health overwhelmingly helps birth rates, and it's a huge reason why developing nations are now able to have so many kids willingly. They just see the overall birth rate go down and attribute it to whatever the latest bogeyman is. To the extent that there is global economic competition based on birth rate, they are absolutely useless.

I hope the defense in that case brings up that those states support abstinence eduction. How can you argue the need for teen moms while also arguing that teenagers should be taught to not have sex until marriage.

Doing a super rough calc, if you paid every Biden swing voter $100 in 2020, it would be around $1.2 bil total, which is the amount that Kamala's campaign has raised. So she should do better than just giving out $100, otherwise she's wasting money.

Kamala would definitely do better just paying independent/undecided voters in swing states. But that is also illegal, and would cause a bunch of other people to get upset and not vote for her.

The betting markets and a series of really bad interviews are what happened. Trump is awful. We get it. The economy is also mega shit and "Trump bad" is not economic policy. Her message of a joyful step forward in unity, that I 100% agree with, was great and she completely stopped doing it for some reason.

Most of the people telling you the economy is bad would be gushing over the all time high stock market posting if an R were president. Instead they'll complain about high prices in one breath and potential price controls in the next. It's fucking nonsense.

As for betting markets, every heavy swing in Trump's favor is preceeded by polls in his favor. So if you're taking betting markets seriously you ARE taking polls seriously.

Fox is in a precarious position right now. Since the messaging about Trump's decline has started really ramping up in the MSM over the last few days, Fox was pretty openly covering it as total nonsense not based on reality. Their assumption was that Trump would come out swinging with a high energy rally soon enough and it would all blow over.

However, ever since then he's just been getting worse. The nonsense last night with the technical issues, not to mention him briefly falling asleep on camera at one of his events yesterday. So now, Fox has AMPLIFIED that the narrative of him declining exists, despite doing so to try and squash it out, and they don't have anything to work with as a counterpoint yet.

How the fuck does this repulsive mass of protoplasm fall asleep at his own rally

Anyway, I punched my Harris/Rosen/Abortion/tax-free diaper/library supporting Nevada vote early today. My anecdotal observations tie with the reports that early voting isn't skewed as heavily towards Dems as in past elections.
