Im playing Dead Space 2023, going for the platinum. All I have left is to beat the game on Impossible. Already through Chapter 3. But this is kinda nerve wracking lol. Cus if you dont know, Impossible is Hard Mode, but you get one save slot, and if you die once then you have to start the entire game over from the beginning. Also you have to do it on New Game and not NG+ so you dont get to carry over all your upgrades. Ive already had to kinda cheese it cus the AI director decided to spawn like 5 guys on a narrow bridge that arent normally there and I almost died and just reloaded. The AI Director is a jerk sometimes. In my NG+ run I was going for a Plasma Cutter only run and I bought a bunch of ammo then the next room it kept spawning guys right in my way and I ended up using ever ammo I bought. Mostly thats what Im scared of lol the insta death stuff is easy to handle once you know what to do.

Mostly I need moral support, but Im also wondering for anyone that has done this, what weapons would you recommend? Im thinking Plasma Cutter, Flamethrower, and maybe Ripper or Force Gun? I probably dont want 4 guns because there arent enough power nodes for the armor and multiple guns and that would dilute the ammo drops.

I didn't do impossible, but I did do Hard(and have played the OG multiple times Plas cutter only) and I just used the Plasma Cutter, Flamethrower and Line Gun, Line gun was kinda pointless. Flamethrower will definitely help anytime you burst a fat guy and the Alt fire is tremendously powerful when defending yourself, Force gun might also fill the same role better though not sure.

It's important to use Kinesis as much as possible, anytime you kill a standard Necro grab it's blades with Kinesis and use it, keep a look out for fire extinguishers too.

I did plasma cutter, force gun, and contact beam but sometimes swapped in the flamethrower

In chapter 7. This is starting to be the part of the game Im kind of dreading doing. Gonna try to get through chapter 10 at least tomorrow then finish it the next day.

Once you get contact beam go full contact beam (with plasma cutter for backup) and never look back.

I did it! Beat Impossible! Got the Plat!
