World hunger has been eliminated.
Money has been eliminated.
Conflict has been eliminated.
Boredom has been eliminated.
Everyone makes a meaningful impact and the AIs' completely accurate analytics remind them of this frequently.
All the world's weapons have been disposed of.
In addition to the social, economic and cultural problems that largely give rise to mental illness havi g been eliminated, the AIs have achieved perfection in identifying and correcting all physical and mental ailments before they can become problematic even if they arise for unknown reasons.
The greatest minds of today (including you) cannot conceive any loophole whatsoever that causes any of the above to not be as good as it sounds--for example, there is provably zero of what might be considered mind control.

Would you still want to oust them?

They wouldn't. They'd neither be able to take over the world, nor be able to do a good job if we willingly gave them control.

We could replace "AI" in the topic title with "water buffalo" and it would be equally likely.

No. An ai is only as good as the data going into it. And humans are the ones putting that data in. Ai will have an inherent bias based on that alone. It wont become a utopia. Its just be another human in all but name, and the inability to look at its past actions decades later to go and say wow, what our ancestors did was messed up.

Are you getting these comebacks from an AI?

Because they're at best brainless.

What other conclusion is there to draw from an entire topic of people not answering the question?

You didn't answer my question. Is it like Buck Roger's computer council?

They did a good job of running the show. But they listened to humans. And had to rely on humans to carry out their directives. (so if it was too outrageous, they could be ignored)

I have no problem believing that one day AI could solve the a ton of human problems, perhaps not all but we could be a lot closer to a utopia than ever imagined with AI.

But what I fear is humans.

If in theory AI could create a utopian society, then in theory AI could destroy society. And when presented with new technology that can benefit or harm, humans tend to choose to use it to harm.

Humans are what's holding humanity back from a utopian society.

Then we need to subvert that by having a rogue programmer start by trying to satisfy the demands of corporate investor money and then go wildly out of scope to make an AI focused on actually serving humanity's desires in a culturally and ecologically sustainable way.

see thats the problem with humanity, humanity.

AI Knows it's stuff, I would be more shocked if AI tried to defend Humans.
