In Texas, the way the voting machines work is you go to the desk when you walk in snd present ID. They give you a long piece of paper that will be your ballot. You then go to a machine and insert the piece of paper and then you make your choices electronically. Then the machine prints out your choices on that piece of paper. Then you go to another machine and insert the paper into a slot. The machine takes in the paper and then they give you the I voted sticker.

My mom was helping people put their ballots in that last machine. At some point, she had to walk away from it to help a disabled person use the first machine. In the couple minutes or so that she away from the other machine, someone had messed up trying to put their ballot in the machine and it got crumpled up. So they decided to start trying to take the machine apart to retrieve their ballot. My mom had to run back to get them to stop.

Also, one of her friends was working at a different location. A Trump supporter had a MAGA hat on when he walked into the polling location. She told him to take it off and he got irate. He ended up calling her a terrorist. In Texas, its illegal to wear political clothing at a polling location and this law is strictly enforced.
