Tbh I usually find if you only want a console for 2 games it's usually just 2 games you can think of right now. Any console that wasn't an absolute non starter you can find more games if you try if you are the type who plays video games. So I'd say it's fine, you'll find something more to play.

Yeah, that's true. I've just never been a Nintendo guy, even when I was a little kid we had a Sega.

But I'm sure I'll end up picking other stuff up once I'm through playing Xenoblade Chronicles and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3.

What non-classic Nintendo exclusives (Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros, etc) would you recommend? Is there a good Fire Emblem on it? I loved Awakening.

If you like Awakening, you'd probably really like Three Houses, since it expands on the "social" aspect of Awakening by giving you a lot more to do in between chapters/fights.

If you don't care about anything else & want to save money, I guess it might be worth it, but in my experience, some games really don't work as well in handheld mode. They may be playable, but some games really do benefit from just having a larger screen. Also, you really want to be able to effectively use a Pro controller for more action oriented games.

I also just found out that Switch has a new version of Final Fantasy Theatrhythm so I'll add that to the list.

I was going to say Live A Live and Octopath traveler but apparently they have ports now. Honestly, it's really had to find exclusives these days so I'm unsure. The Sam and Max games, Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, House in Fata Morgana, Saga Frontier Remastered, all games i have that are not exclusive anymore or ever.

That said often people do buy it for the Nintebdo franchise games; at this point there are dozens of games between Mario, Mario sports, kart, party, Luigi, Metroid, Star Fox, Zelda, Kirby, Splatoon, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Wario Ware, Advance Wars, that Peach game etc Fire Emblem i think is Nintendo exclusive?

The online subscription even give you most of the old games in all those series including ones like Punch Out, Kid Icarus and F Zero that haven't gotten a game in a while. Tbh I think it's mostly for Nintendo's healthy library of exclusive franchises, but if you google exclusives I found some lists with stuff on Reddit.

Snipperclips? Boost Beast? Golf Story? World Ends with you? Tbh i don't recognize them all but World Ends with you is pretty popular.

Tbh one of my favorite games was Live A Live.

Handheld emulator.

There's tons of them one can find online.

All with different designs and screen resolutions.

Just read reviews so you're not stuck with something you might regret.

What are you defining as classic vs. non-classic? Because Fire Emblem has been around longer than Smash Bros.

Yeah that's a good point. Mostly Zelda Mario and Smash tbh I have no interest in those games.

Yeah. Three Houses is Awakening but expanded. Engage is... Similar, but a bit more streamlined, so if you like the social stuff, it takes a slight step back, there. Three Hopes is like an "alternate universe"-ish game to Three Houses, but it's not a regular Fire Emblem game, it's a Dynasty Warriors-esque game. That said, it still has social-ish aspects like Awakening/Three Houses do, if you feel like you want Fire Emblem in a different gameplay style. And then, similarly, Fire Emblem Warriors is just straight up Dynasty Warriors with Fire Emblem characters. No social aspects, but it has a bunch of Fire Emblem characters from various games.

EDIT: Well, no. I shouldn't say Fire Emblem Warriors has NO social aspects. It still has a basic version of the pair/friendship system, where you get short character scenes between certain characters as you use them together, but it's very basic, compared to everything else.

I strongly urge Three Houses as well.

And I say that as someone who normally isn't into Fire Emblem.

I was so confused by what you meant with gameboy and realize you meant the handheld lol.

I think you should look into the games you want and see if it is capable of playing some of those games. I think a Mario Party game can't be played with it? I don't remember.

I just prefer getting the regular one. It has a great screen for handheld and its bright but I can also just dock it and play on my t.v.. I guess if your'e looking for cheap, then that's the way to go though.

At this point, consider waiting for the Switch 2

I miss having a Switch Lite. I have the OLED but the JoyCons suck (no d-pad and they are too wobbly). Just sucks they never made an OLED Switch Lite

If youre into retro games the Switch Lite is pretty amazing. Between the NES/SNES/GB/GBA/Genesis/N64 Online and all the various retro collections (especially the Mega Man and Castlevania sets) its an amazing device.

Not until they release the older Pokemon games and add a GameCube section. They can do it, but they wont, because Switch 2 is on the way.

They're just drip feeding their customers.
