I also saw this video where an actor was talking about how his place was broken into, and he had to use his gun.

he went on about how each room in his place has a weapon he could reach, but at the time he had an airsoft gun (he also had real ones) that shot pellets, but I guess more painful than usual(?).

anyway, I never thought about using an airsoft gun for self-defense, but now I'm not against the idea.

I keep going back and forth on buying one for the range though, it would be unloaded and locked up at home. I've mentioned before that if I lived out in the country where I could shoot on my property I would have more of an interest, but I don't so I don't.

Nature literally evolves creatures with weapons. Claws, fangs, poison/venom, etc. are all natural weapons that our invented weapons originated from.

If you are not a rich, cis, straight, white male and you live in the US and you don't already own one, you should go out to your nearest gun shop and begin the process of acquiring one right this moment. doesn't need to be fancy, a crappy little Saturday night special will suffice, a gun lock if you have young children or have regular visits of young children(note, depending on state this might come with the gun automatically, ask the shop owner), a cheap little all-in-one cleaning kit, and a couple boxes of ammo.
Not only are we going to have to worry about our entire government being replaced by sycophantic facists that do not care one iota about your constatational rights or even just basis human decency, a lot of horrible people are going to take these changes to mean they are free to do awful things to people they don't like.
Also, go to a range with your firearm at least once and go through at least two boxes of rounds. Ideally you'll want to do this semi-regularly, but with luck our fears will be over blown and your gun is just gonna sit forgotten in a bedside drawer for the rest of your life.
