Well, not completely. They did similar fuck-ups in a handful of spots.

For instance, in TNG Picard talks about Fermat's Last Theorem as one of the galaxy's great unsolved mysteries. Lo and behold, five years after the episode aired, someone solved it.

The Elon cameo at the end of one episode of Young Sheldon felt like the most accurate depiction of Elon in mainstream media that it's kind of hard for me to believe that he agreed to it unless he just didn't realize the implication of him stealing the idea and the work of a 10 year or however old child.

I mean Discovery is as good of a show as its abbreviation would indicate, so this isn't really that surprising.

Yeah but that one actually aged well. He was shown in the same league as Einstein and Newton, and it seems like thats how history will indeed remember him.

I'm not going to sit here and pretend that Season 1 of TNG where we had such classic content like the drunk virus and Tasha Yar getting killed by a shitty Tar monster, or the utter mess that is Star Trek Picard, are even remotely watchable content.

I will not abide this ST Discovery hate. I've seen the first 3 seasons and really enjoyed them, with some minor quibbles.

Now if seasons 4 and 5 turn to truly shit that's a separate issue. I'm going to finish watching SNW season 2 before starting Discovery season 4.

People going out of their way to abbreviate it as STD bothers me, because no other show is abbreviated that way. Its abbreviation is DIS, and I will be hearing no counterarguments.

Discovery's not bad. It's not great. I like SNW quite a bit better as far as modern Trek shows go. But it's not bad.
