The fact that Palestinians were asking Americans to vote for "anyone but Trump" and there is some sort of debate at all about who you should vote for if you are wanting to support Palestinians is just depressing.

Democrats continue to lose for a variety of reasons.

One of them being Democrats have to produce someone flawless, or enough people will ignorantly claim they are the same as Republicans.

So on the note of the average voter, it's not worth catering to non voters. Cater more to the people who actually consistently vote in elections.

We aren't trying to win over non voters. They are already an unreliable demographic.

So the Democrats only have two choices. Create their own demographic of reliable voters, or cater to non voters. As we've seen, it's impossible to please everyone. Republicans already have reliable voters, so Dems need to create the same. Non voters can be unreliable, but their stupidity makes them easy to sway. As for creating reliable voters on the left, that can never happen if the left keeps up their refusal to unite. Non voters no matter what cannot be counted on to show up and vote. Especially consistently.

As you admitted yourself, they are easily swayed which includes a breeze of wind swaying them to stay home. Its not hard to convince them both sides are the same, or something isnt good enough. They can be motivated to vote one election, to be easily motivated to stay home the next.

As for uniting their reliable voters, that's a different problem all together since Democrats are judged on high standards. That in itself deserves its own topic to discuss. Meanwhile Republicans can do whatever, and get graded not nearly as harshly. Which feeds into the non-voter problem since like you admitted, they are easily swayed.

Just look at the well known user on this board who spent months attacking Biden and explaining why being uncommitted is great..... to switch gears to complaining specifically only Kamala until the election and defending the uncommitted movement as a bright plan. The movement wasn't helping Palestinians in any realistic and pragmatic way, but alas their entire shtick was pretending it was.

Genuine or not, non voters are easily susceptible to idealism and feels making them do illogical things that ignore Presidential elections have a binary result regardless if you like it.

Well one reason why it can be hard to unite the left is because democrats insist on moving to the right. They campaign like republicans and then when they lose, they claim it's because they weren't republican enough. So they don't gain republican voters (they're already voting for the republican party) and they alienate everyone else. The problem is that democrats cannot embrace the left without pissing off their donors because wealth hoarding runs counter to leftist causes.
