We have compared Hitler to Trump. Hitler is widely regarded as having been charismatic and being a compelling orator.

Honestly, I see conservatives, gunophiles, Christo-fascists and hordes disgruntled with Democrats.

Those rallies were empty and people were leaving.

But I may have missed it. Tell me how you see Trump. It is anonymous.

Neither. He just tells people what they want to hear. Or he just repeats lies over and over again until people start believing it and it becomes what they want to hear.

You also have to factor in how dumb people have be to even fall for that shit. And there seems to be a ton of dumb people.

Charisma is literally the only thing Trump has going for him.

Apparently, its more than enough. He has way less charisma than he did in 2016 because he's old AF, but its basically just leftover charisma from 2016-2020 that got him elected anyways.

Actually, I've read that Hitler was not a great speaker, at least at first. He was considered somewhat of a buffoon, which was part of the reason he wasn't taken seriously.

He's incredibly charismatic and persuasive, but his speeches are absolutely incoherent and pointless.

He has a con man's charisma that works on stupid people. I find him unpleasant to listen to.

He has charisma, his oratory skill is basically non-existent and the people who think he's a great orator either ignore all the crazy shit he says or create alternative realities for what he said/meant "what he really meant was", "it was a joke!"

His charisma is a weird one as most people who see him as the absolute insane monster that he is don't recognize any within him, however it's obviously there for far too many people. So as much I may personally think he has the charisma of a serial killer telling you to your face that he's going to kill you and your entire family (not even that ludicrous of an example given what he's promised for his second term), somehow it resonates for others.

If it was charisma, I argue that it would have been there in 2020.

I think it's more he understands human nature. Democrats try to appeal to people's morals. Trump appeals to people's insecurities.

I think Trump's allure is situational. He has built up his persona with the media and Trump always stages. Trump is known to place his people in the audience as well. I just do not see awareness of others as being part of who Trump is.

I grant that Trump has developed the ability to create situations that work for him.

I don't understand it either. He is an incredibly toxic individual. His lack of decorum, constant lying, absurd boasts, and sense of entitlement/it's all about me make him insufferable.
When I was a kid, Trump was precisely the type of person I was taught to stay the fuck away from, even if it meant quitting my job.

I assume its different cultures finding different things charismatic. I can objectively see other people are drawn to him but Ive viewed him as an annoying idiot well before his political career. I literally dont see any charisma when he talks. Although after this election, maybe Im just neurodivergent
