Why exactly has the majority of the internet chosen a good guy (Tyson) and bad guy (Paul) for this fight? Looking at both and past history (admittedly just a wikipedia search) both aren't (or havent been up to now) necessarily the most upstanding citizens. Am I missing something?

Not sure why one is being rooted for over the other so hard?

Also...still not sure why everyone is so sure one way or another this is a sure bet (I only ever see people saying they KNOW who will win...very little uncertainty) As far as I can see this is a complete toss up entirely dependent on if Tysons age is just too much of a factor or not, right? I think its literally a 33 1/3% chance Tyson demolishes him...33 1/3% chance Paul demolishes Tyson...33 1/3% chance it's a somewhat equal or close slugfest in between... I don't see how anyone could really know more than that?

Tyson a pretty laid back guy these days after he retired from boxing. People that haven't followed him might not have noticed that the man that said he would eat another man's children is now a vegan.

The Serrano vs Taylor fight was one of the best boxing matches I've ever seen. Tyson vs Paul won't even compare to how great that was.

I disagree with the decision. It looked like Serrano got more punches in to me.

Maybe I just don't know how this is scored?

Pretty much this. And that a lot of Tyson's behavior could be attributed to poor upbringing. The dude grew up in a really crime -ridden area and had a long rap sheet of petty stuff even as a kid. It would have been a statistical anomaly if he'd had no criminal record as a young adult. But like many people who come from that type of background he seems to have gotten a lot more mellow with age.

Meanwhile both the Paul brothers seem to just be insufferable upper middle class douchebags who are getting beyond the age where it can be brushed off.

Since we live in the worst timeline I predict that Jake Paul will literally murder Tyson.

That was one of the worst boxing matches I've ever seen. If somehow this goes to Tyson, it was extremely rigged. Paul sadly won that by an absolute landslide.

I didn't watch but the play -by-play I checked in on occasionally suggests it was a really boring fight. Which is almost the worst outcome.

It wasn't a fight, it was a paycheck. It was always going to be a farce.

Roy Jones Jr literally mentioned how he didn't like how Tyson's legs looked more times than Tyson actually threw a punch. That has to be new record for fewest punches thrown in 8 rounds.

He lost the match but he won in life. He went the distance. He collected a payday worth more than his current net worth and he helped promote women's boxing. The women put on a great show tonight.

Kudos to Paul for not knocking out tyson. He basically did what Mayweather and McGregor did

I mean, lets be real, the interview with Tyson before the match was easily the best part. Best blooper of 2024 IMO.

I'm glad I overslept and missed it after hearing how disappointing the "fight" was. Though I hear the other bouts were pretty good.

I don't know anything about Jake Ryan because I don't follow boxing. But you'd think Tyson would have been banned for being a freaking psycho, and biting off his opponent's ear.

He seems to at least acknowledge that he used to be a monster (he is literally a convicted rapist wife beater with multiple assault charges) but I have no idea if he's done anything beyond that and use that reputation to make a shitload of money in various ways. I'm not up for running a hate campaign on him but seeing people call him "such a good dude" makes my skin crawl.
