Was in at Domino's yesterday waiting for my order. A guy (who I've never seen before) who was waiting in his car for his order, came in and started talking to me, like full out acting kinda nervous, "Hey um, so, correct me if I'm wrong but... aren't you the guy who won [work-related competition] two years in a row?" And I thought he was gonna like say he was from a competing store or something or whatever, but nope, was pretty much just "wow, that's amazing, it's really cool to meet you" and then went back to his car. o_O

Damn, thats crazy, man. I also misuse the word celebrity sometimes.

Thought about it but not sure that I want to give away my IRL identity on here. I mean there's some people here who know it and it wouldn't be impossible for a particularly dedicated CErson (eh, CEople just doesn't work well in singular form) to find it, but it's not widely known.

I'll just say that it pretty much comes down to being the best and fastest at the particular position I work in, and that multiple (but not all) chains compete in it.

That's crazy, cause I saw you at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told you how cool it was to meet you in person, but I didnt want to be a douche and bother you and ask you for photos or anything.
You said, Oh, like youre doing now?
I was taken aback, and all I could say was Huh? but you kept cutting me off and going huh? huh? huh? and closing your hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard you chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw you trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in your hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like Sir, you need to pay for those first. At first you kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, you stopped her and told her to scan them each individually to prevent any electrical infetterence, and then turned around and winked at me. I dont even think thats a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, you kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Nah, because of Florida Man.

I mean, I know CA is on the other side of the country, but still... never know where a rogue Florida Man might end up. Not even sure if Canada is safe tbh. Whereas anywhere seperated from the US by water should be fine, because if the Florida Man tries to cross the water he'll attract gators.

I had someone approach me and ask for my autograph once. Saying that I was their favorite character in some soap opera. I politely explained that I wasn't who they thought, and they awkwardly left.

At least you actually have the goods to back up your fame. Mine was a stolen moment of spotlight from someone that I have no idea who it is.

Im actually wondering now how he knows it was twice. He must work at another store that participates or something (and just didnt mention it) my win last year is very well known at least within the region of NZ I live in (even made the news) but there hasnt been much publicity around this years competition.

I thought it had something to do with your Gamefaqs posting lol.

But yeah, that is pretty cool!

No. In the past we tended to end up with the same versions as Australia, but that was more due to logistics than due to laws. Nowadays we generally get the uncensored versions. South Park Stick of Truth was a weird case, we got the completely uncensored version on PC but the lightly censored version on console (still not the super censored Australian / German one).

I have heard of a few rare cases of a game being banned, but nothing near Australia level.
