archizzy 11/19/24 7:17:01 PM #12:	No. Hate to come off as some bah humbug overly negative person because Im honestly not and usually in a fairly positive mood but Ive just simply never cared about Christmas. Ever. Even as a young kid I had no excitement and wanted to sleep in. I was forced to wake up and open what gifts I had and then immediately clean up and get ready to road trip to my grandparents. I was the only kid in the family and always just sat off alone somewhere wishing I was at home watching tv or alone in my room reading or listening to music. When I was in the military I always volunteered to take a friends duty who had family and I just stayed on the ship and worked and the last 25 years at my job Ive always worked unless it fell on my normal day off in which I then felt obligated to go to my grandparents though Ive skipped it. Id rather just work. This year it falls on Wednesday so I work. I just flat out have never cared about Christmas. I like various Christmas movies. I like the decorations and peoples general cheer. I like the cold temps and snow. I just dont care about the day itself or spending time with family. Id rather just be left alone. It was wonderful as a kid, then one year I had my last Christmas with the whole family together for the last time and didnt even realize it.
