It's a gory horror film. That's not really indicative of issues with women, especially with Lauren LaVera's character and how just about every actress keeps talking how safe and respected they felt on the shoots.

Safe and respected on shoots is the bare minimum

I dunno, I just think "horror director who makes violent film must hate women" is shitty thinking for a variety of reasons, especially as some of the nastiest predators hide behind seemingly wholesome art.

Terifier 3 has men die just as horribly, Terrifier has one of the best Final Girl leads in modern horror films in Sienna and every woman who's worked in the film has talked about what a fun, enjoyable experience it was and how good a director Leone was.

Maybe he just doesn't hate women and making gory horror films is just a moral neutral

Also, in 10 years or so there needs to be a crossover Freddy vs Jason style...but actually good and no studio meddling!

I love Taratino, literally my favourite director, but he obviously has a foot fetish right? I think Art is a good character, he's certainly scary and unsettling, but I don't think it's a stretch to suggest the creator of Art enjoys the idea of women being cut up and humiliated

Pennywise will be in an IT prequel show coming to MAX. It's called Welcome to Derry. I think it takes plays maybe a hundred years ago. And will be based on something that the book barely covered. There is a part in the book where it talks about various previous disasters and atrocities that happened in Derry. It's probably a whole show detailing one of those incidents
