The Dualshock series of controllers. About the only good thing that's come out of Sony recently is the fact their controllers are still - for me anyways - the most overall comfortable to use. I will say I still prefer the DS4 over the DS5 due to it's smaller shape and lightweight design, but I've come around to liking and using the DS5 if only because their analog nubs don't rub off as easily as the DS4's do. --- -Insert witty signature here- ... MI4_REAL posted... How do you input NES/SNES controllers to input for games on a PC?What do you mean specifically? RetroArch and a lot of emulators will automatically map things out, and with SteamInput you can map the controls to whatever. If those controllers use XInput the buttons should automatically be mapped to what they correspond to on an Xbox controller. The d-pad and face buttons are obvious for SNES controllers and with an NES controller, A/B would be mapped as A/B or X/A on an Xbox controller. --- Thanks for reading! ... Copied to Clipboard!

MI4_REAL posted... How do you input NES/SNES controllers to input for games on a PC?If youre asking how to use NES / SNES controllers for games on a PC, I dont know why you would want to, but with a USB adapter to plug them in, theyre just DInout controllers, so youd have to map the buttons manually if SteamInput doesnt have those controllers. If youre asking how to use a controller on PC to give inputs to NES / SNES games, RetroArch does that for you. I recommend adding it as an external game to Steam and opening it that way to avoid any hassle with SteamInput. --- https://store.steampowered.com/wishlist/profiles/76561198052113750 ... They feel more responsive and dont need to have dead zones etc. too. I used to use the Xbox elite series 2 controller but Ive had issues with quality control, Im on my 4th one. Also as someone who grew up with PlayStation and Nintendo, I was finding it difficult to rewrite my muscle memory for the Xbox controller. I got the DualShock edge controller now after I decided I needed to send my last Xbox controller back for warranty again. the first dualshock edge I bought didnt have quality control issues which was already an improvement over the series 2. It doesnt feel as premium, but its definitely been a better controller for me than the series 2. The battery life is the only disappointment but theres only been 3 times ever where i ran out of battery life during a session and in those cases I just plugged it in and kept going. i vastly prefer the DualShock layout to the Xbox layout ... i rocked 8bitdo pro 2 for a few years now and truth be told the sticks being hall effect is like the only half-decent thing about it the face buttons are serviceable but the d-pad and shoulder buttons are horrendous and mushy. i get that their goal is to re-create the old school nintendo feel, but old school nintendo controllers also had the same issue of being bad in these aspects, so i suppose they did a good job recreating something not that great in the first place triggers arent hall effect so mine already has trigger drift and finally the shape has the handles pointing at a near 90-degree angle compared to the body of the controller, which can make your wrists bend a lot more than it needs to. the newer 8bitdo ultimate has the same problems. only good things i can say are decent battery life, decent wireless performance, convenience in switching between xinput and other schemes, built-in autofire, and the back buttons are really nice if you program them as L3 and R3. xbox core/elite controller on the other hand is almost flawless if it was hall effect. luckily the flydigi vader 4 exists which is basically an xbox elite on hall effect steroids and with a better price tag. --- How to open a door, Step one: http://i.imgur.com/EWKRS.gif ...
