Maybe. I think it's fine having certain things you think you should speak out against. The glorification of vigilante justice happens to be one of mine I guess.

You realise that vigilante justice only exists because of the failure of the actual justice system right. Instead of condemning the vigilante you should be condemning the lawmakers who allowed that CEO to do what he wanted

For real. This is like getting upset that a man that gleefully signed away people's lives paid for it with his life finally, and you feel bad for that guy, and not the hundreds of people he got killed.

Partly. The doctor was able to convince them to allow the treatment, but not the follow up tests that would allow the doctor to know if the cancer was entirely gone.

Denying any part of cancer treatment should result in no trial no appeal no parole life imprisonment.

I think this is fair: I'll put exactly as much value on his life as he did on all of the lives his company denied coverage to for life-saving procedures.

It's also difficult to imagine anyone other than the CEO having enough clout to put in that AI system for denying coverage.

CEO specifically makes the big decisions so I wouldn't say some low level employee has such blood on their hands as the guy who literally decides "lets up the denial rate"

If you are in a position of authority, decision making etc, then you are culpable. The whole insurance industry is in for a reckoning. My home insurance tripled last year and Ive never made a claim. These guys cant be surprised people are fed up. Let alone with much more serious and important things like health care.
