...another guy who I told to stop using my ebay pictures in his auctions and reported.

The pickup guy's account was created 2 days ago and the location is an hour away from the seller I told to take his own pictures.

Am I being paranoid or could it be a complete psycho who created an alt account to do me in? He hasn't paid for the item yet but said he's meeting me at this little restaurant in town tomorrow afternoon.

The locations of both accounts are around 2 hours from me. Why does he want to drive all the way here spending gas money instead of paying the $10 for shipping?

I've never done local pickup, but supposedly the buyer gets a code and I type the code into my account when they pick it up. If he doesn't pay first I'm not meeting him anywhere.

That's what I was thinking and he's yet to pay. One is karatekid something 13 and the other is andrew something 13.

He said he's on his way and still hasn't paid. I told him he has to pay first and get a code for pickup, and he asked if I'll take cash.

I don't think this person has any plans on paying for it.

Seriously, if you go meet this guy, you need to bring someone with you whos ready to call 911.

Well just got back from the pickup. Turned out it was a kid and his dad lol. Looked like he may have been 15 so not sure how he made an ebay account, but it would explain why he wanted to use cash.

I've had people ask me to do local pickup on an ebay sale after the auction ended. I literally don't even know how you do that. It's all automated. The purchase is made and ebay's system is expecting you to print a shipping label. The buyer is going to claim you never shipped it, ebay will check the tracking number and see it was never used, and they'll get their money refunded. You're getting scammed.

Whenever I've had to meet somebody in person for something like this I've done it at a police station. That's where you meet if you ever do local pick up again, okay?

Yeah. We ended up meeting at a gas station across the street from the restaurant. There were lots of people around.

Kid was nice. His dad looked pissed off, like he didn't want to drive all that way. lol

i would be pissed off too. could've waited less than a week for the package to arrive through the postal service but the kid wasn't having it.

Yeah he was excited as hell. When I pulled up to the store he was jumping around out front. Then he gave me the code and took the box without looking inside ready to roll. I was like you better check it now. When he got in the car he yelled woooo or something.

Dad probably has his hands full with that one.
