New furniture place in the big mall area of town, new hires are guaranteed base of 4k/no for the first three months

Sign Making Company

Entry level and willing to train about everything in the industry, seems like a good field as everyone needs signs and I could get into design

Vape City area manager

It's a drive but most of my experience is in multiple store management of smoke/vape/dispensary locations

Obviously management looks good anywhere especially multi location and involving purchasing and stuff, but staying in my industry would be easy

I've been lucky throughout my life that I normally hop jobs from people I know or meet in the current job, I will say it's fucking draining me barely getting any calls from all of this, and seemingly have made no progress

Anxiety is everyday for me but depression has been knocking at the door with nothing for my mind to focus on every day

I have faith in something eventually, SOMEONE has to be hiring for something

I'll wait one more week for this round to hopefully call, and then I'll go for Walmart and Kroger, I really don't want to work at either but I can always look for work while working

You seem to have the right attiitude at least. Nothing more frustrating than people who are out of work long term but also think certain jobs are beneath them.

Youre doing the right thing by going for stuff youd prefer first and then being willing to widen your search if that doesnt work out.

Sorry but you need 20 years of experience with a masters degree at the age of 25 to apply. If you use one of 10 million specific words or names and fail to use several of 12 specific buzzwords your resume is nuked from orbit by Skynet(We are legally obliged to say Race, National Origin, Sex, Parental status, Gender etc. don't affect this buuuuuuut...) We pay minimum wage with no overtime pay and 80 hour weeks. The only benifits we offer is torturing your family to death and a pizza party once a year.

There's a couple business owners (1 I know from the industry) down to put me in charge of their new store but they're both waiting to open for who knows how long

I'm hoping someone or a few from today's batch will call this coming week after the weekend passes

I doordash a bit every day to keep a bit of money flowing in for my expenses

I haven't, I live in South Houston and almost every temp agency is going to land you in the chemical plants, it's an option but it's gruelling a lot of times I used to work insulation for one of the oil companies

Good luck TC. I was unemployed for a very long time and was finally able to get work in September at a school doing kitchen work. I was also ubering and grubhubbing trying to get by. Theres always a light at the end of the tunnel, I wish you the best!

Took me 5 months to find a job, hunting for a job is so much worse than actually working.

I recommend people to be careful about job hunting sites, you can get a lot of spam text messages and emails about jobs that aren't even in the area you designate. It's annoying AF

If you have a ride, selling plasma isn't too bad, but if you have to take an Uber, you barely make your money back.
