"I told my wife I'd fix the broken doorknob. She doesn't have to remind me every 6 months!" It's rooted in ignorance of the spouse saying the line, but it's not quite self-depreciating humor but it kinda is. It's not quite sarcasm, but kinda is. It's not quite observational comedy but kinda is. It doesn't quite seem to fit the basic forms of irony by definition. What is this? --- The Phantom has spoken! ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's standard spousal comedy (nagging wife), but with a self-deprecating inversion of expectations (lazy husband). --- 'Vinyl is the poor man's art collection'. Let in the refugees, deport the racists. ... Copied to Clipboard!
