It depends on the game. If there's a loot chase/grind, then I don't mind it being harder. That's one of the things I loved about the Nioh games. And to a lesser extent WoW/Diablo and things like that. If it's a straight up RPG with no major loot grind, then yes, I should be overpowering everything if I got all the cool stuff in the first playthrough. Metaphor was good like this. --- Stand out, fit in ... Copied to Clipboard!

Depending on your definition of new game +, there are various nes games with a second quest where the game loops with making it harder. Both Zelda games, Castlevania 1 and 3 are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. For a actual new game + of carrying over weapons and such, basically all the dark souls/bloodbourne/demon souls get harder with each new game +. Technically the original silent hill bumps you up to the next difficulty in new game +, although if you already were playing on hard it won't do anything. Devil May Cry has harder modes unlocked that you carry your equipment into. --- http://streetfighter.opticplay.com//go_files/images/thumbs/dan-beatinupken.gif 3DS FC: 1805-2490-3207 ... Actually, BW2 did make a new difficulty, specifically challenge mode for B2, but all it did was increase the levels of certain guaranteed encounters (gym leaders, team plasma bosses, elite 4, champion), by 2-5 levels and giving them 25 IVS in all stats. Definitely the Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring games, since all enemies are stronger and deal more damage. However Dark Souls 2 stands out among them all because it actually puts in more special/stronger enemies that werent there before in the first playthrough.
