Jesus was a man, full stop. There is no coming down, there is no divineness. He is buried in a unmarked grave. The apostles removed him. They either payed off the guards or distracted them. They would say he disappeared to avoid getting in trouble. It also lines up with that Jesus' followers believed what wpuld happen.

So anyone one claiming to be Jesus would not be telling the truth no matter who it was.

I've been hearing Jesus was a ghost since I was in short pants. Dude is capable of anything.

I kind of want to see this as a movie now.

And I could see it going one of two ways.
Movie 1: Like ET.... Government tries to capture Jesus to study him, but a plucky group of kids who he befriended help him escape on their bikes, while 80s pop music plays in the background during the chase.

Subplot one of the kids is 'abused' by a priest, Jesus helps the kid and exposes the priest, so the priest and with the support of the Catholic Church are the ones who turn Jesus over to the government. A little dark for a fun kids adventure movie, but I want it.

Movie 2: Like Winter Soldier.... Jesus lands on Earth, the government captures him, brainwash him, and turn him into their secret weapon doing all kinds of dirty black ops missions. And when the plucky news reporter asks how her lead disappeared the Government guys smugly laugh "I guess it was an 'act of god'"

Eventually the Government sends Agent Jesus after the reporter, but she helps breaks them free by reminding him what he stands for.

Come on Hollywood let's get to it.

You know, I remember one of my classmates asked this in my Sunday school and our Teacher basically told us that because we follow the correct Faith (Southern Baptist) that we will automatically know when the Messiah ever comes again, just like how the Apostles immediately followed Jesus when he called upon them. When that same classmate asked if that said "Messiah" was a Democrat/Liberal our teach replied "Well obviously they're the Anti-Christ. Don't ask stupid questions like that again!". Actually in the early days of Christianity, there wasn't a common agreed on belief. There were 3 versions of Jesus. Some said he was just a man like Muhammad. Some said what ended up winning, that he was a divine being born on earth in a physical body. There was also a third idea that he never had a physical form and was just a spirit. The beliefs were hammered out and settled after the final version of what would become the Bible got decided on. I think it happened at an event called the Council of Niacea

Don't know why you brought Trump in your rationale but don't be fooled: belief in religion is far greater than belief in government and party. It's consistent in it's message as opposed to politicians backtracking to get that vote before stabbing you in the back.

Ironic that those that believe in Christ would chastise a second coming of Him if He performed literally all the same miracles.

If the story were to follow the same pattern, He could already be here, going to school, engaging in vigorous debate with His teachers, and biding His time. Who knows?

Jebus already came back, descended into the hole in Antarctica and saved his faithful, who resided only amongst the reptile folk in the hollow earth.

A lot of that was there had been previous men who Called themselves Christ. There was a prophecy that inspired it. I think its in Job. So when Jesus came around the response was oh no not another one. We dont believe you. So if the previous ones can make the claim, what makes Jesus' claim to be true. He had friends, family members(At least 4 related to him) who would back him up.

Because a lot of people who follow Trump just happen to be Christian and also willfully ignorant. It's a common theme. People also believe he's god or something like that...or even a figure of god who came to earth to stop its demise or something. It's very...jarring.

I've seen people posting pictures of him with Jesus behind him and a hand on his shoulder or something or people saying he's here to stop the evil democrats lol.

Yeah, but I mean that if the sun wants to be worshiped again, it should make targeted, focused attacks on specific religious institutions in order to discourage worship of those other gods and encourage worship of itself, not to just cook the whole planet until it's evenly crispy.

I'd like to add to this. He'd do this to the babies as well, because babies are also being judged. If the babies do no kneel, they will also explode. Not sure about the disabled though. I guess it depends on if Jesus is good or bad.
