NeonPhoenix 01/15/25 9:33:54 AM #1:	Raichu has always looked cooler and it was tougher than Pikachu. Pikachu is inferior in nearly everyway and I almost always have a Raichu on my team. You're doing a disservice to your Pikachu by not evolving it ASAP "B-b-b-but the anime said Raichu can't learn any moves!" You're right! Look at all these incredible moves Pikachu can learn in Red/Blue if you don't evolve him immediately (ignore Yellow because he can't evolve in that version): https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pikachu_(Pok%C3%A9mon)/Generation_I_learnset#By_leveling_up Thunder Wave, Quick Attack, Swift, Agility, and Thunder. LOL! It learns all the good moves through TMs anyway, which Raichu usually has access to more of than Pikachu does. Plus in the newer games it doesn't even fucking matter anymore cuz stone evos can now learn all the moves. "B-b-b-but muh Light Ball tho!" Wow, you get like a 20% increase in your attack power over Raichu, but you're still slower than Raichu, have almost half the defenses and HP, and you can't use any other held item. Base stats don't translate directly into stats and Light Ball also multiplies DVs. In Gen 2, I'm not sure who's better.
