That's one thing that kind of worries me a bit. The right joycon on my switch will come loose with just a little pressure. I guess magnets wouldn't wear out like that and become loose, but it feels like that would come at the expense of having a weaker connection overall. Like playing Wii Sports tennis required you to do the exact same motion you'd do if you were trying to throw it at the TV. I've used devices with magnetic attachments and yeah, the ones without a locking mechanism will inevitably come apart causing a tragedy.
