Crazy long loading to retry. Was it like this on wii?

The switch is way more powerful than Wii. Why are the load times so long?

i'm wondering this too . it's been years, but i don't remember the load times being this long.

Yeah, I was gonna try to do it, but the fact it takes like 20-30 seconds to load a level is insanity. Fuck that

It's a shame because this seems like a great game for time attack.

No, it's about 5-10 secs more loading into each level.

You also have to wait 1-2 secs before moving in a level compared to the wii version. Also gotta wait 1 sec after hitting the exit barrel to leave the level.

It's a pretty bad port if you're interested in any kind of speedrunning the game.

Yeah, I figured. Depressing because the chances of a patch are basically 0 imo

Forever Entertainment are responsible for DKCR HD. Their track record is not great.

Yeah, this really does feel like a low effort port. It's still probably the best version of the game since it has the extra levels from the 3DS port as well as ease of coop of the Wii version

I saw a load time comparison earlier that showed that the Switch version was way, way slower than other ones.

Unfortunately it seems like a shaky port from everything I've heard.
