But it is worth noting that Zorro was a huge influence on the creation/development of both Superman and Batman. So there's certainly a through-line there. It's also potentially worth noting that Zorro sits pretty close to the grey area with characters like The Phantom and The Shadow. Where they kind of straddle the line between different genres, and having helped formulate some of the tropes that went on to be the building blocks of the superhero genre as a whole.
