Threads bumped after 2 days are everywhere.

Whatever, not like there's much going on here anyway.

It's the same guy with a bunch of different accounts he cycles through. He's been doing this for years.

No thread here is that old, and I might sometimes bump an old thread with few replies just to make its creator feel better.

CE doesn't archive, it just deletes. there is no "necrobumping"

Yeah, 2 days is nothing. Dtoast's recent announcement even implies that they're extending the purge rate for CE.

It's Notti. He necrobumps like crazy. No idea why. His account is even older than mine. I fucking hate it when he bumps a ton of topics, but he's done it forever.

I mean, technically, it only implies they're changing it.

We do have a necrobumper though, who seems to go out of his way to comment on topics where the last post was 5 days old and not add anything meaningful.

It's at least 3-4 different accounts doing it although I'm sure it's just one person behind them. Seems it's mostly controversial kind of topics that get bumped. While it's not that bad, it's still a tad annoying seeing the same old topics being pushed up when any discussion is pretty much dead in most of them even if CE is slow.

They confirm they're changing it. They're most likely to extend it since it's already the shortest possible time on the site and the previous topic on it had most people wanting it to be longer.

Sometimes i make a shitpost not even i like afterwards and i figure just I'll let it die but days later someone necrobumps just to say they didn't like it. Like bro let it die???

Yeah, so long as the purge time is 2 days there isn't an issue. Some people don't even come here every day.

Yeah. Goes through spurts where you think something is new but it's a week old topic and the last post was 3 days ago and then there are 6 of those topics bumped. Lol

Like there was one thread about Alberta recently that he kept alive for like two extra weeks for literally no reason that no one else was even posting in. I think he was the last like 5 posts in the topic.

E: Like I post on a forum where bumping topics after 6+ months isn't uncommon in some areas of it because there's updates/new info or changes to what the thread is about.

why am I going to make a new topic when there is already a topic.

Yeah it's just kind of obnoxious to see the same topic keep popping up about an event that happened like a week+ ago that has no updates and all discussion is dead.

Like, why constantly keep topics around that are going to get one or two posts between all your bumps? And he's be doing this for years. It's just weird.
