I agree, same with the fuck around find out stuff, it feels like some coping mechanism just like how people used to believe the levers of power like congress or the court system could reign in Trump and Musk and they ended that notion pretty damn quickly.

We're not trying to win them back. We're trying to raise our own spirits by laughing at their continuing misfortune.

Besides, while the cultists may be a lost cause the ~80 million who voted for Trump were definitely not all cultists. Most of them are likely to turn on him as things get bad.

Why blame him for anything when they can just blame Dems for "forcing his hand"? Isn't that all those worthless morons do? Blame Democrats for everything Republicans do?

The in-deep members, yeah, blaming Trump would amount to blaming themselves and you never see that behavior from them. They're perpetual victims of someone else. Oh yeah, I work with one and it is painful AF. Try not to openly discuss politics in the office, but like yesterday the management sent out an email saying "If you're stressed out by everything going on please reach out and also here are some resources to help you out."

And this coworker didn't understand why that went out. I generically answered because of all the uncertainty the past couple weeks and the response was "there's always uncertainty." Like how do you reason with someone who thinks that an unappointed illegal team of hackers accessing classified government systems while a bunch of unqualified hacks get selected for cabinet positions is just "politics as usual".

Shit is stressing me out.

anytime I bring the solid "dead to rights" truth about trump's tyrannical actions that even his worshippers cant deny...they all get the same blank eyed look as if their cpu is glitching

There was one moment where all the various MAGA lieutenants admitted in court that there was no election tampering and they weren't claiming that there was (while saying the polar opposite in every public appearance) that a few talking heads started to turn

But as always they all instantly went back into the fold, ranting about woke or transgenders the moment they realized they can't betray their meal ticket.

I just feel like so many people have outsourced their critical thinking to propaganda and third party talking points and it's aggravating. Pretty much every Fox News/OANN/RT talking point can be dispelled from a thirty second search, but people don't do it. They don't want to challenge their way of thinking. I fucking hate it.

Most peoples' complete lack of media and tech literacy have just as much to do with this as their supsceptibility to propaganda. They got into this bullshit because they don't have the ability to use technology/platforms to seek out news and were fed misinformation on social media platforms that they stare at.
