Im part of a group that has helped many people find debt forgiveness through Defense to Repayment, and it worked. This was years ago. The group grew larger, and we achieved a lot. Short version.

Through the years, we gained many members from both political parties. Things usually stayed calm, with the occasional unhinged person infiltrating and trying to create division within the group.

Turns out one of our sub-groups is being lead by an Elon simp. Dude has been kicking at smoke for years, trying to get his private loans erased by sending in paperwork to Navient. Navient had never been held accountable, and gets away with tons of shady practices.

Guy is parading around saying Elon is helping people by auditing corporations

and government. Does he not realize that Elon and Trump are absolutely against loan forgiveness?

The only issue they care about was immigration. They often seem suprised by issues that actually affect them in ways they understand.

Fuck them, Elon just killed the consumer financial protection bureau that is helping the rich. So fuck that guy. I wasted all my day dealing with these people. And my life is not better for it. So just fuck em. And walk away .

We've got at least two who absolutely did, and I'll defend them any time someone gets after them for their prior chuddery.

They fucked up, realized it, directly acknowledged it, and went through intentional effort to make lasting positive changes, which deserves recognition.

America's a joke now, and people are monumentally screwed if they're not at least millionaires. Changing viewpoints now don't mean shit, for these people the next Hitler wannabe will have them creaming all over again.

During the Bush or Obama administration, Fox News had a guy on that literally said, "I was poor once and on food stamps, but I crawled out of it without help from anyone." The cognitive dissonance. Any help they receive is deserved because they know they work hard and the system is unfair to them, but anyone else that receives help is assumed to just be mooching off the system. It's unfathomable to them that someone they don't identify with could also be dealing with the same unfair system.
