just got home from the watch party I was at (lol)

so many random thoughts

My main one is I think a fun discussion would be that for how much arguing there is about it, the MVP award feels meaningless this season and there should be better ways of discussing the stories and most meaningful players of the times

I think Saquon Barkley's backward hop is easily play of the year

The Eagles manhandling the Chiefs is pretty evident by that score. The 14 - woah 22 now - points all came after the game was pretty much over.

I stand by what I said: The Chiefs cannot come back and would not have been able to with the old rules, either.

final thoughts on the 2024-25 NFL season:

• maybe I should stop watching football if everytime I see a flyover it makes me a little sick to my stomach
• packers are gonna be fine. I think lions and vikings are worse next year
• love is an average qb and that's fine
• most memorable play was the commies hail mary

Unfortunately this is the second 40-22 game so we narrowly missed a Scorigami

Probably the two best teams (as of now given injuries), I think the eagles were just a bit better everywhere and Mahomes > Hurts skill gap couldn't overcome that.

Don't think Bills fair much better.

Chiefs have played in 3 straight super bowls, first team to ever have a chance to go for the 3peat in the super bowl so honestly not bad. Mahomes falls to 3-2, which was Brady's record through 5 super bowls as well.

also Lefty remains very glad that they didn't play the bucs, because lefty wanted no part of that game

I mean after literally 1 playoff win in my life to our worst season in the last 7 years being OT losses in the AFC championship, its a pretty good life!

All I wanted from this game was a Cooper Dejean touchdown so I am a happy man.

I was gonna mention that perhaps he was a huge part of this win because he knew that Mickey Loomis and Saints ownership were watching from the box, as they were hosting the game, and he wanted to give them no choice but to offer him the job.

Always send an NFC East team to take out a dynasty. Well, the Giants and Eagles at least.

That was cathartic, the whole thing.

It was so loud outside and I am in a more quiet area.
Then I drove to where the plane crashed last week and that area was packed and so loud....so many people were driving to where one of the larger gatherings happens, which was a couple miles from there. Didn't try going there lol

Eff yeah, go birds. That was awesome. I could talk about it for a while. There was a lot to unpack in the game.
Can't wait for the parade.

For all the people who still like to give the Bears crap for drafting Trubisky over Mahomes...you saw what Mahomes would have looked like on the Bears last night.

The silver lining for the Chiefs is that their 1 score game winning streak is still alive

Bears are known for ruining a QB's potential. Only team that has an even worse reputation with QBs over the past 25 years is the Browns. People should be giving the Bears shit for continuously botching QB development, not for their draft day decisions.

If this is the start of Pat's pumpkin years, I'm all for it

Good defense is one thing

A blowout (which good defense usually plays a strong role in) is a completely different thing.

I have watched the Super Bowl 9-10 times or something. Mostly just the most recent ones. I don't recall all too well partially because it's the only game I watch in a year.

But I remember that 13-3 game as being the most boring of them. And the one with an insane comeback at the end and then overtime as the most intense, at least by the end. I usually enjoy the match though.

I will defend the Ravens/Giants game

I wish I could find the Bullies of Baltimore clip of Ray Lewis reading the drive list. The absolute dominance was unreal, the defense was absolutely unstoppable, and they were lucky to get the kick return.
